SB 176 TECHNICAL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Technical Information on Case Initiation and Disposition Reporting

1. Are the Transmission Standards currently available

Yes. See the Data Transmission Standards File on our SB 176 Files and Forms Section for complete details on transmitting files.

2. Is the e-mail address for notifications for the county the same as the deed notification address?

Yes. Upon request, we will send the SB 176 transmit notifications to the Clerk's vendor.

3. If our civil customers use another vendor for deeds, what about notification for civil?

The e-mail notification goes to the clerk@notify address.

4. Several of our customers use an offsite deed indexing vendor for deed indexing. How will they be notified for civil?

See answer above.

5. Will notification be instant or will the collection server process only at certain times of the day?

The notification process is intended to work just like the deed notification process, so you should get a notification soon after you transmit.

6. What about sending from a particular IP address?

You can transmit from any PC that has internet access, not just the ones on the Authority’s network.

7. We have some counties that have separate judicial and land divisions. They only have one PC on the GSCCCA system that can access the local network for security reasons. Who will pay for another PC to have a dual NIC configuration like the deeds in the civil division, the County, AOC, or GSCCCA?

If you are transmitting S.B. 176 data electronically and your PC has internet access, it doesn’t have to be on our network. Only the counties using the SB 176 ScanSend software have to be on the Authority’s network. If the PC does not have internet access and is not on our network, they should contact us and we will work this out on a case-by-case basis.
