GEORGIA NOTARY PUBLIC APPLICATION FORM

There are two ways to become a Notary in the State of Georgia or to renew an existing Notary commission in the State of Georgia.

Important Notes:
  • If you are a legal resident of the State of Georgia, you may only apply in your county of residence.
     
  • If you are a legal resident of a state bordering on the State of Georgia, and are regularly employed or carry on a business or profession in Georgia, you may only apply in the county of employment.

If the County you are applying in does not appear in the County list, you cannot apply online in this county at this time. Please see method 2 listed below.

2) If the County you are applying in does not appear in the County list of the Notary Online Application, please contact the Clerk of Superior Court of your county of residence to obtain an application. For a complete listing of offices, visit our Superior Court Clerks Section.
